Notice of Emergency Rulemaking - Rule 4-19-207(k)

On December 19, 2023, modifications to Arizona Administrative Code Rule 4-19-207(k) became effective pursuant to emergency rulemaking. The changes to the rule provide guidelines and additional discretion to the Nursing Board related to applications for new nursing programs. The purpose of the changes was to provide increased flexibility to the Nursing Board, during a nursing shortage in Arizona, while maintaining student and patient safety and effective oversight of nursing programs.
