About Education

The Education Department provides regulatory information to nursing programs, students, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Review program applications/changes.
  • Complete education program site visits.
  • Conduct program investigations based on complaints.
  • Monitor program trends. (NCLEX/On-Time Graduation)
  • Maintain/update the AZBN Nurse Practice Act Test.
  • Support evidence-based regulation and research.
  • Promote collaboration among Arizona education programs.
  • Facilitate bi-monthly Education Committee meetings.
  • Attend quarterly Dean's and Director's meetings.
  • Arrange monthly conference calls with nursing/nursing assistant programs.
  • Organize annual Nursing Assistant Educator's Conference.
