About the Board

Mission

The mission of the Arizona State Board of Nursing is to protect and promote the welfare of the public by ensuring that each person holding a nursing license or certificate is competent to practice safely. The Board fulfills its mission through the regulation of the practice of nursing and the approval of nursing education programs. The mission, derived from the Nurse Practice Act, supersedes the interest of any individual, the nursing profession, or any special interest group.


Agenda Disclosure

Agendas for Board and Committee meetings are posted on this website and in the main entrance to the lobby of 1740 West Adams, Phoenix, AZ 85007 at least 24 hours before any public meetings in accordance with A.R.S. § 38-431.02.

All meetings are recorded, and the recordings posted on this website within three working days for regular/special board meetings and five working days for committee meetings in accordance with A.R.S. § 38-431.01(E).

Locations, dates, and times for official meetings listed on the website are tentative, unless a confirmed notice is posted.
